About the Role

Gain real world experience as an Intern in Matson’s Purchasing Department. The Intern rate of pay is $25/hour. This position requires the successful candidate to be in-office at our Oakland Corporate office 3 days per week, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

What you’ll do:

• Processing requisitions, request for quotes and purchase orders for, lube oil, fuel and food or other items as requested.
• Assist with NSE vendor database clean up, includes following up with vendors and updating vendor records in the system.
• Research past due purchase orders.
• Ad hoc projects as needed. 

You have these skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills.

And these qualifications:

• Rising Junior or Senior in active pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
