Responsibilities

  • The Lead Project Director shall keep the Contracting Officer and COR informed of any performance issues, cost or financial concerns, and potential problems that, if unresolved, will adversely affect the Contractor's performance, schedule, or quality.
  • The Lead Project Director shall take all appropriate measures to mitigate adverse impact to the contractor and subsequently to ORR.
  • The Lead Project Director shall manage and lead all aspects of the program, coordinate resources, assure quality control processes are in place, and ensure conformance with task schedules. In addition, the LPD shall meet with the Government monthly and Contractor personnel on a regular basis to review tasks, deliverables, and overall contract performance.
  • Has general oversite of the UCTL program and closely monitors the process of discharging the unaccompanied minors from the shelter to be reunified with a family member, transfer to another facility.
  • Discharge of the unaccompanied minors will occur within the 72 hours of the minor being approved for release and as per ORR policy and procedures.
  • Ensures the efficient and effective operational procedures and processes to enable successful contract execution.
  • Effectively executes all work assignments, in logistics and travel, to ensure travel chaperone assignments are completed and coordinated in accordance with ORR and Acuity International policies.
  • Participates in other contract activities as assigned/appropriate.

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Transportation Planning, Public Administration, or a related field plus five years of progressive project management experience on projects demonstrating advanced levels of financial and managerial responsibilities.
  • Must have significant experience in local, regional, or state transportation planning and policy, urban planning, intergovernmental agency outreach and or closely related planning program area.
  • Must have a clean criminal background check.
  • Must have a clean Child Abuse and Neglect (CA/N) or child protective services check.
  • Experience managing or coordinating a travel and travel logistics team for children living in a residential facility.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish language (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Must have attention to detail in reviewing travel manifests and ensuring the correct travelers are accounted for during scheduled trips.
  • Will have oversite and responsibility for the program in the expense and reconciliation of travel costs and ensuring compliance of training for all staff of proper execution and delivery of services, compliance with all required trainings, and ensuring that staff complete their out-of-pocket travel expenses for reimbursement in a timely manner, and as per corporate policy.
  • Possess a current and valid U.S. state/territory vehicle operator's license.
  • Ensures compliance with ORR policies and procedures, state, and Federal regulations.
  • Must maintain company database systems for travel, incident reporting, and after-action plan reporting of all completed travel with unaccompanied minors.
  • May participate in interdepartmental project groups or task forces to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain a specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, contract awards, and new policy requirements.
  • Performs duties in a safe manner.
  • Follows all corporate policies and coordinates the development of new policies as required.
  • Supports compliance objectives regarding performance, safety, training, and Acuity International goals.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Assists in active implementation of Acuity International's initiatives to ensure compliance with HHS/ORR, State agencies, OSHA VPP, ISO, JCAHO, AAAHC, and other mandated regulations or standards.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
