At HOLT Truck Centers we set the standard for parts and service support, from extensive parts inventories to preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency service - all backed by the technicians who know your needs and are prepared to meet them.

We are looking for a Technical School/College Intern to join our team. This position is an entry-level Intern for our Parts Warehouse for HOLT Truck Centers and will be under the guidance of an experienced Parts Warehouse Supervisor. The intern's primary purpose is to learn and develop as a technician and receive on-the-job training (OJT) with an assigned mentor. This is a paid internship. The work hours are flexible within the available schedule of Monday - Saturday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. The schedule is to be determined by the Truck Shop Parts Warehouse Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Required company-instructed training
  2. Maintain safety training and procedures
  3. Receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from Service Leadership

On-the-job training curriculum may include:

  • Completes all parts order pulling transactions for external and internal customers in an accurate, timely manner
  • Completes all stock replenishment tasks to ensure property inventory status in the parts warehouse
  • Maintain parts warehouse and outside yards so they are neat and orderly
  • Receives reviews and coaching with the designated mentor
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The candidate must be a current student enrolled in a college/technical program.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
