This position will maintain and support a semiconductor clean room factory where computer chips are produced. Employee is required to work from blueprints, electrical schematics, manufacturer's specifications, and other written/oral instructions to perform the duties of maintaining and repairing all types of building equipment, systems, and structures in a semiconductor facility.

This job is for you if
  • Perform major and minor repairs of building equipment, systems, and structures being guided by good trade practices and manufacturer's specifications with minimum or no supervision.
  • General facilities maintenance work such as construction, building repairs, fab/subfab repairs in completion of assigned duties.
  • Operate and troubleshoot facilities' systems. Make routine, periodic, or special inspections and do the repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns on many types of equipment including but not limited to the following:
  • Pumps/motors
  • Bulk Gas High purity systems
  • Chillers
  • Boilers
  • Compressors
  • Cooling Towers
  • Scrubbers
  • Fans
  • Exhaust systems
  • Clean room
  • Building HVAC equipment
  • Control Valves
  • Analyze inspection logs to identify possible equipment failures and take action to prevent failure.
  • Manage small to medium sized maintenance projects as assigned by management. This includes creating parts list, ordering parts, contacting vendors, completing all the required paperwork, and working with others to complete projects.
  • Use a wide variety of hand, power, test and metering equipment and machine tools. Perform miscellaneous related duties as required. Train, assist, guide and/or perform the duties of lesser skilled personnel in proper mechanical repair techniques and maintenance of facilities equipment.
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting and repair on systems including but not limited to HVAC, electrical and control systems, and Bulk gas high purity systems.
  • Train lower grade personnel in safe operation of hand, power, machine tool and welding equipment.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Have a good working knowledge of facilities related equipment: chillers, boilers, compressors, bulk gas, pumping systems, etc.
  • Reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, specifications, and procedures for maintenance activities.
  • Provide emergency after hours support if/when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Works under general supervision with considerable freedom for independent action. Makes decisions that impact production, support areas, operations, and offices.

Communicate/work closely with internal customers and outside contractors.

Industrial setting with electrical hazards and noisy environment.

Job Requirements
  • 8+ years' experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment such as pump rebuilds, package equipment repairs, alignments, pipe fitting, etc.)
  • Knowledge of facilities system (HVAC, Chillers, Boilers, Compressors, Bulk gas systems, etc.)
  • Requires outstanding troubleshooting skills.
  • Technical experience in semi-conductor facilities.
  • Computer skills, Word, Excel & Email.
  • Advanced computer skills a plus.
  • Electrical safety knowledge
