Responsibilities

Laurel Ridge Treatment Center is hiring a Licensed Therapist. Our Mission Resiliency Program is part of our 330 -bed comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare Facility located in beautiful San Antonio, Texas! Our facility provides a nurturing environment with dedicated Behavioral Health Professionals committed to patient care.

The Licensed Therapist is responsible for providing compassionate therapeutice services to our military patients in a collaborative team environment. This role is critical in the overall care plan and high quality outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
Facilitate sessions with individuals, groups, or families.
Refer clients to specialists if necessary.
Create a treatment plan based on each client's needs.
Monitor client progress during treatment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal skills, strong assessment and interpersonal skills, flexible and able to meet demands of heavy caseload. Ability to maintain patient records and confidentiality. Knowledge of HIPAA. Excellent understanding of appropriate boundaries/relationships with staff and patients. Excellent clinical and didactic skills and understanding of group dynamics. Must understand the needs of military active duty and veterans who are experience PTSD and other behavioral / mental health disorders.

Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Masters Degree in Counseling or Psychology

License / Certification: LMSW, LCSW, LPCA, or LPC.

Experience: At least 6 months' work in individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management and discharge planning preferably in an inpatient psychiatric facility; familiarity with ethical and legal duties regarding reporting of abuse.

Work Hours: Monday through Friday 8 AM TO 5 PM
