Position: Treasury Solutions Sales Officer - Houston | Division: Treasury Sales

Work Days: Monday - Friday| Hours of Operation: 8:00am-5:00pm

Purpose of the Position:

This position will be responsible for selling treasury solutions to commercial clients and prospects, as dictated by each company's business needs. This position will also be responsible for generating new business opportunities, as well as building an active and consistent referral network through both bank employee and self-generated leads and provide training with regular customer follow-up calls.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the sales growth of treasury solutions. This will be accomplished through a calling effort based on leads from self-sourced prospect development and internal partners.
  • Responsible for lead generation, calling activity, and account acquisition of deposit only and deposit first clients and business.
  • Identifies credit opportunities through calling efforts and refers to lending partners (Commercial or Private Banking) to generate new relationships to the bank.
  • Prepares and makes sales presentations, explaining services available and recommending those services which would be valuable to the customer. Most presentations require development and manipulation of proforma account analysis statements, cost-benefit analyses, and/or written proposals appropriate to the situation and clientele.
  • Responsible for evaluation of the operational aspects associated with ACH Origination and Remote Deposit Capture and the initiation of the approval process for exposure limits of these products. Treasury Solutions will advise those responsible for underwriting on the reasonableness of the exposure requested.
  • Responsible for learning and understanding other product offerings within and across divisional boundaries in order to discuss and to recommend these solutions competently to clients and prospects.
  • Coordinates regular customer calling efforts with the Treasury Solutions Operations area and appropriate account officers to ensure ongoing positive relationships with clients.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of proper procedures, policies and systems within the Treasury Solutions department to assure integrity of treasury solutions products and to satisfy internal audit requirements.
  • Provides input to effective performance and tracking reports so that these reports can be shared with management on a monthly basis.
  • Acts as a liaison, when needed, between Treasury Solutions and customers.
  • Acts as a liaison between Treasury Solutions and calling officers.
  • Provides the Treasury Solutions support staff with appropriate documentation to implement or change treasury solutions services.
  • Responsible for product implementation and customer training on treasury solutions services. This will require careful coordination with the Treasury Solutions Operations area to ensure optimal use of resources.
  • Supports and facilitates training opportunities for bank personnel to become more familiar and comfortable with treasury solutions.
  • Stays abreast of latest technologies and current product trends in the industry. This includes active involvement in local trade associations and other readily-available educational opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Competencies and Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make presentations before executives and small groups preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively and jointly with peers to accomplish goals preferred.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • 3 years bank customer contact and/or sales experience that includes verifiable success in customer service and/or sales growth with commercial and/or corporate clients.
  • 2 years bank operations or bank treasury Solutions operations experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years bank-specific treasury solutions sales experience preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) Designation (strongly preferred)

Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs
  • Experience with other bank platforms
