Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Lending Manager. This position focuses on identifying appropriate lending opportunities, soliciting and developing all types of business activity, specializing in commercial loans, participates in the development and recommendation of overall commercial loan objectives, policies and practices, and generates deposits and income fees.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for participating in and directing the team's activities necessary to attract and retain new business, as well as retain existing clients.
  • Responsible for training, leading, and mentoring a team of relationship managers.
  • Manages a department that is responsible for selling bank's commercial products.
  • Develops and executes business plan that meets financial objects for organization.
  • Responsible for developing and adhering to annual expense budget.
  • Participates in the completion of transactions with the sales team.
  • Actively develops new business by calling on small, medium and large size companies.
  • Participates in annual incentive design for department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field and 10+ years of commercial lending experience, credit analysis, credit structuring or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.

  • Expert knowledge of complex credit structures as well as lending policies, extensive knowledge of complex credit structures, credit analysis, administration policies, procedures and techniques.
  • Expert analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Expert knowledge in the assigned lending specialty or market segment.
  • Excellent evaluation, problem resolution and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated management skills
