Business Development Manager
San Antonio, TX

MUST:

Experienced Sales/Business Development professional
5+ years of sales experience in Federal / DoD Business Development working with Sub-Contracting
Basic understanding of the Government contracting business development function
Knowledge and understanding of where to find leads, how to contact and qualify leads that are relevant to client's organization, etc.
Preferred experience working with and supporting DoD clients
Ability to be client facing and to represent company interest on current programs and opportunities in the area
Experience developing and maintaining a call plan
Experience performing research and analysis on core customers
Strong experience using Federal Procurement plat forms such as FPDS.gov, GovWin, SAMS, USASpending.gov, etc..
Strong business acumen
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Be organized and prepared to discuss various business opportunities/leads with clients and why we are recommending the client pursue those government opportunities
Ability to multi task
Self starter
BA/BS Degree preferred

DUTIES:
Will work as a go-to person to help work with client in efforts to grow and maintain current work
Will be working with a large government contractor and help in the identifying of potential opportunities to grow current work as well as qualifying of new leads for business development opportunities in the region
Know how to identify Government leads and CORs and how to contact them
Perform overall market research
Perform research and analysis on the different opportunities in the BD Pipeline
Perform research and analysis on core customers
Perform research and analysis on competition, monitor and analyze competitor offerings, strategies, and partnerships in the GovCon landscape
Perform research on Government and Industry contact information
Willing to learn the Client process and work with senior Business Development leads
Ability to develop, build, and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and companies
Develop and present customer workbooks containing research results of target account/agency/customer POC(s), budgets, partner firms, etc.
Assess and analyze the competition for Pipeline opportunities
Create call plan
