This is a three-year appointment, beginning Fall 2024, with an option to renew after three years.

Salary Range: Salary and benefits are competetive and commensurate with qualification and experience.

Hours: 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions

Full-time Fixed Term Track Faculty of Healthcare Management, with a primary appointment in the Department of Public Health in College for Health, Community and Policy (HCaP) and a secondary appointment in a Department in the Alvarez College of Business (ACoB). The incumbent will also serve as the inaugural program director for the new Bachelor of Health Administration degree program.

Required qualifications:
  • Master's in Public Health, Healthcare Management, Health Economics, Health Administration, Health/Healthcare Analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Healthcare Management field.
  • Demonstration of ability to teach in the areas related to health administration/management and provide leadership/mentorship and direction for the newly developed Bachelor's program in Healthcare Administration.
  • Outstanding teaching records that warrant an appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor of Practice with tenure (contingent upon Board of Regents approval)
  • Demonstration ability to conduct professional development activities, cultivate alumni relations, and assist with building industry relationships and placements for future health care leaders,
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to the University's mission and to being a model for student success.
  • Demonstration of the ability to work collaboratively with constituents across the College and University and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.



Preferred qualifications:
  • 7-10 years' experience in healthcare administration and program management.
  • Experience with education of a variety of populations.
  • Experience teaching courses in healthcare administration and public health.
  • Ability to collaborate with current faculty and form new transdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to build relationships with community partners and healthcare professionals to establish student engagement opportunities.
  • Familiarity with AUPHA certification
