Job Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and confirm all event related information from client - to include, but not limited to meeting specifications, audio visual, rooming lists, technical needs, exhibit needs, food and beverage requirements.
  • Assist catering and sales manager with execution of events .
  • Drives function space optimization / maximization, to ensure the best utilization of space for guest experience and financial performance.
  • Suggests events / upsell to maximize revenue.
  • Building sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication
  • Liaise with management to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain the overall appearance, layout and design of the event
  • Initiates and follows up on billing procedures, collecting deposits per the contracted schedule, ensures credit applications and valid final payments are received within acceptable timelines.
  • Conducts pre-conference meetings with clients and appropriate departments to confirm all relevant details are communicated.
  • Conducts site visits and inquiries as needed.
  • Establishes and maintains rapport with clients prior to, during and post event.

Requirements

  • Prior experience with Delphi, Jonas, and Opera a plus
  • Must have experience with Microsoft suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • At least 3 years proven customer service or events experience essential
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize your tasks
  • High school diploma preferred
