Job Description
Vaco San Antonio is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client's team. With their rapid growth trajectory and upcoming system changes, they require a seasoned professional who can hit the ground running, contribute immediately, and navigate through various accounting complexities with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform monthly reconciliations including cash and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for multiple veterinary practices.
  • Handle journal entries, reconciliations, and internal financial analysis.
  • Prepare for upcoming system changes including automation of revenue, implementation of Workday Payroll, and transition to Workday GL.
  • Facilitate the transition from iLeasePro to CoStar for lease accounting.
  • Maintain strong communication with team members and adapt to organizational changes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Extensive experience with Income Statement and Balance Sheet management.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP and accrual-basis accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and internal financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with large ERP systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred:
  • Experience with Sage Intacct (GL).

Our CFO is actively working with our PE firm to provide additional resources to the back-office team. This position offers a blend of in-office and remote work, with three days in-office and two days remote per week.
