Parking Porters

Job Description Summary

Responsible to perform general inspection, cleaning, and stocking supplies in all common areas inside and outside of assigned building/property

Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Sweeps and picks up litter in garage and ramps, sweep and mop elevators, sweep and clean all stairwells
  • Monitors tenant parking in garage and alley parking lot and notify manager of violation of parking rules.
  • Monitors exterior parking lots and cleans as needed.
  • Assist monthly parkers and visitors as needed when entering or exiting the garage or parking lots
  • Assist parkers if they need to contact a towing company
  • May perform other maintenance duties such as cleaning garage lights of dust and accumulated dirt as needed. This includes using sweeper or power washing equipment or other required cleaning equipment
  • The associate is regularly required to run; stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. * Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to use power tools and other required equipment
  • May do other job related duties as needed or required

Important education

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Important experience

  • 1-2 years of related experience

Additional eligibility qualifications

  • Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional commercial property environment. This role is generally located in the garage area of a commercial property and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
