Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Responsible for implementation of facility and production-related projects, including all facets of Project Development, Project Execution (Project Management) and Project Closeout. Responsible for submitting and managing Project Budgets, Schedules, Change Controls, Impact Assessments, etc. including required documentation and report generation. Capable of generating Basis of Design (BOD), URS, FRS, FAT, SAT, etc. documentation. Capable of generating documentation and execute Engineering Commissioning strategies as required.

  • Provide support to Project Management and Packaging Engineering to evaluate new product and process development and coordinate/select process equipment and/or change parts. Provide estimates for feasibility, cost and lead times and execution of projects if approved. Evaluate Packaging Engineering test protocols, support Line Trials and Engineering Studies, and assist with writing of reports as needed.

  • Responsible for contracting and managing external Vendors, Consultants, Engineering Firms and Equipment Manufactures. Able to lead needs assignments, establish project requirements and specifications, prepare bid packages, solicit pricing, review estimates, etc.

  • Provide support to Project Management and Commercial Operations with impact evaluation of product changes/ modifications including process changes, change part requirements and/or new equipment requirements. Provide estimates for feasibility, cost and lead times and execution of projects if approved.

  • Provide recommendations for production equipment to Manufacturing. Include estimates for cost and lead times and ROI justifications.

  • Provide support to Validations in documentation generation and execution, support Quality in investigations and corrective actions.

  • Manage a site and global cross functional team to ensure project scope, estimate and all other associated project deliverables are completed on time and budget.

  • Within area of responsibility, understand and comply with all safety, environmental and quality practices and procedures as outlined in organizational/departmental guidelines and SOPs as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University is required. Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent is preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (Liquids, Semi-Solids and Aerosols) is required.

  • PMP certification is preferred.

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification a plus.

  • Technical skills or automation experience a plus.
