Position Details:

As the Senior Manager of Datacenter Engineering, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our datacenter infrastructure. You will lead a team of engineers responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our datacenter operations. This role requires a deep understanding of datacenter technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

You Will:

  • Datacenter Design and Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of datacenter infrastructure, including network architecture, server hardware, cooling systems, power distribution, and security protocols.
  • Capacity Planning: Develop and execute capacity planning strategies to ensure our datacenters meet current and future needs, including forecasting resource requirements and optimizing utilization.
  • Operational Management: Manage day-to-day operations of datacenter facilities, including monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing best practices for efficiency and reliability.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and contractors to procure equipment, negotiate contracts, and oversee service-level agreements (SLAs) for datacenter services.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure datacenter security measures are in place, including physical security, access controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of datacenter engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to drive continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Work with the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) team to develop and test datacenter disaster recovery plans and ensure business continuity in case of emergencies.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for datacenter projects, equipment purchases, and operational expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business objectives.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of datacenter designs, configurations, and procedures, and provide regular reports to stakeholders on performance metrics, project status, and key initiatives.

You Have:

  • At least 5 years of experience leading and working in or with technology teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, related disciplines, or equivalent work experience
