Job Description

Summary:

Manage departmental functions including, operations, administration, strategy, budgeting, and safety within assigned areas. Train and manage performance of staff to support KPI's. Manage adequate staffing to meet business needs.

Pay Class and Pay

Pay Class: Full Time

Pay: $60,845.70 - $81,127.61

Essential Responsibilities:

Manage and execute all activities associated with respect to quality, customer service, cost, environmental, health and safety within assigned area.

Responsible for driving results and achieving operational goals and targets identified in "Key Performance Indicators" (KPI).

Develop and implement consistent processes and procedures to support efficient operations and enhance customer satisfaction.

Identify opportunities for improvement and utilize structured problem-solving techniques to create and implement solutions.

Manage improvement efforts across all areas (quality, capacity, costs, etc...), that eliminate non-value-added processes and waste.

Achieve metrics and KPI's to ensure exceptional customer service.

Work closely with other staff members to maintain a well cross trained workforce.

Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and counseling associates.

Practice, comply and enforce all requirements of our Quality Management System (QMS), as well as regulations promoting a safe and healthy workplace environment

Identify cost saving opportunities while aligning the continuous improvement initiatives and company's operation plan.

Supervise team to include selection, training and development, coaching, counseling and performance management.

Education:

Preferred bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination or experience and education

Experience & Background:

Five (5) plus years managing in a high-volume manufacturing environment

Experience managing a diverse workforce in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Knowledge of process workflows, procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies required

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend complex, English instructions, correspondence, and/or memos is required, as is the capacity to write similar correspondence relaying opportunities or findings.

Skill to effectively present information in one-on-one and group settings is necessary.

Bilingual ability, particularly in Spanish, is desirable

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform the analytical mathematics demanded by the business functions. Aptitude to perform these operations using standard units of measurement, distance, weight, volume, and currency

Reasoning Ability

Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions

General problem-solving abilities

Ability to apply analytical tools and common understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions and interpret diagrams and/or forms.

Must possess capacity to deal with complex problems and situations involving multiple variables in standardized situations.

The noise level in this location is moderate (use of computers, printers and machines). Limit weight for lifting, pulling and pushing is no more than 50 pounds. When lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, requirement is to use two or more people to lift the load. Ability to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends and holidays.
