As a Senior FSA Advisor at the 513 EWS you will maintain a fully operational and reliable computer systems, to include fixing network issues, managing sufficient workflow capability; as well as, updating equipment, configuration and software. (06v1)
Essential Job Functions:
Performs engineering work concerned with the design, evaluation, planning, testing and operation of mechanical equipment and systems for commercial, government, military and/or scientific uses
Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels
Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users
May serve as a lead on directed projects and initiatives
Required Skills:
Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
U.S. Citizenship is required (due to sensitivity of customer requirements)
Bachelors (or equivalent experience) with 12 + years experience in IT support as System Administrator
Security Plus or equivalent certification
Windows Server 2016 or higher training/experience
Windows Active Directory Services
Working knowledge of the virtualization of servers and workstations
Experience with patch management
Experience with Data Storage management <
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of use and implementation SolarWinds
Working knowledge of VMware (vsphere, Horizon, instant clones)
Intermediate knowledge of network principles
Working knowledge of NetAPP and NetBackup
Familiarity with SCCM and ACAS
Working knowledge Endpoint System Security
